serving ideas
Traditionally, potstickers have been served as a one-course meal. Boiled, steamed, or pan-fried, they go from freezer to stove to table in approximately 15 minutes. Most varieties have a source of protein, a veggie, and our handrolled wheat flour wrappers contribute the starch - a complete package!
add some tang
Add one tablespoon of vinegar to water prior to steaming for extra flavor in your potstickers!
rice and veggies
Want to add something extra? Serve potstickers with steamed white rice and a vegetable such as green beans or asparagus.
a bowl of steaming soup
Perfect for a cold day - warm dumpling soup! Boil potstickers in chicken broth, add veggies (matchstick carrots, bean sprouts, or peapods, to name a few ideas), then sprinkle on a little cilantro and grated ginger. Sure to beat out the old-fashioned chicken noodle.
go green with salad
Potsticker salad served with Gather Gourmet scallion pancakes on the side are the ingredients for a light, tasty meal. Simply combine red and white cabbage, add carrots and red pepper, mix in soy vinaigrette, and top with 2-3 cooked potstickers. Entertaining? Sprinkle white or black sesame seeds over the top for an elegant dish. To make it even easier, use prepackaged cole slaw mix and a bottled Asian-style vinaigrette.
